YULETIDE 2025

HELLO — I’m  [archiveofourown.org profile] users @ao3. This is my first Yuletide and officially marks me getting back into writing after a long (pre-AO3) haitus. I've never had anything written for me before; can't wait to see whatever you come up with in a few months.

LIKES — I'm a shipper at heart. If that's not your thing, the characters I've requested (minus maybe Kirsh, but you gotta admit he's a little fruity) have intimate, intense relationships. If you stick to their canon dynamic, I'll be well fed. I love weird plots and alternate canons, particularly slice-of-life moments set within. I like things that uncomfortably linger between sweet and dark. A character who stumbles to a point where they're unsure what the they've gotten themselves into, but it's so damn close to what they dreamed that they won't ask too many questions and risk losing it. If you love research and accuracy I will dig into all the details you pack into the story. But if you're more interested in the characters than worldbuilding, don't feel daunted. I care about the characters. These canons play fast and loose with accuracy; don't hold yourself to a higher standard than the creators did.

CHALLENGES — I've signed up for the following challenges, in my comments for which you can find additional likes and tropes that fit the specific theme, if you wanna go that way: Crueltide, Three Turtle Doves, Yuleporn, Two for One, Queering the Tide. I have treats turned on, if you're looking to give them. (Thank you!)

DISLIKES — Hopefully my prompts give you a good idea of the general things I like and want expanded on within each respective fandom. My DNWs are pretty static: feminization, pregnancy/mpreg, cheating, noncon, genderwsap, second- or first-person POV.

ALIEN: EARTH (TV 2025) — Kirsh

Obsessed with Kirsh and want to know everything about him. What, if anything, is his life like outside of Prodigy? What is his relationship like with Boy? Tootles? How would he interact with other synths, including those from other Alien installments?

Timothy Olyphant can do no wrong. I love all the acting choices he made with Kirsh. Give me his backstory, bottle-episode, spinoff season, and all other Kirsh ideas. He has monkey-paw, 'careful what you wished for' chaos agent energy of David8 paired with the stoic, steadfast loyalty of Andy and Bishop's apparent interest in doing right by those tasked under him. What makes him tick?

  • Kirsh's life outside of Boy and Prodigy. What things were like before the Lost Boys came to take up so much of his time.
  • If you've seen the prequel series or Romulus, I'd love to see Kirsh interact with David8, Walter, or Andy.
  • Boy Kavalier longs for someone who he can have an intelligent conversation with. Kirsh doesn't satisfy that need. Is it because Kirsh is smarter, literally or due to the way synths see a world in a way humans never can. How Kirsh views Boy. A peer? His ward? Which one of them really is in control? How Kirsh managed to save Boy from himself all these years without getting the axe for being the only one willing to tell the boy genius no.
  • Kirsh takes Tootles under his wing. What Kirsh teaches him, why he lets him select his own name. Will he try to "reboot and restore"?
  • Kirsh is sent into Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, or Threshold territory as a spy and has to blend in. Does he take a family (husband? kids?) to blend in? Is he a playboy? Is it easy for him to pull out once his mission is done, or hard?
GLADIATOR (MOVIES - SCOTT) — Publius Septimius Geta, Marcus Aurelius Antonius | Emperor Caracalla

Corrupt twin emperors? Say less. I love how they weirdly balance one another out and bring out the worst in one another.

Ridley chose the most unhinged details from history and tossed what he didn't need. Give me a story that does the same!

  • Caracalla has boys, while Geta (publicly?) doesn't. How does that work? Is he jealous? Does he join them? Is he the one who sets his brother up with them? Does Caracalla actually do anything with them, or is it for show?
  • Macrinus outright setting them up or subtly encouraging their relationship to keep them preoccupied while he works his political magic.
  • One or both of them is exiled, rather than Hanno. If one, what would it be like for the other to return? Would they still have a bond? If both, would their relationship be even more intense for having only had each other growing up?
  • Instead of killing Geta to take power, Caracalla strips him of his title. Is this known or done in secret? Does he take Geta as a spouse or slave?
  • If you want to toss in Macrinus, I'd love to see how an OT3 would work between them. Does he balance them out? Do they give him a legitimate cover for his plans? Does he go after one brother first, or both at the same time?
  • General Acacius is welcome too. Do they fight over him, or share? Is he merely serving his country? Are there any warm feelings from their side, or is it a power trip? Does one of them genuinely love and admire him, while his brother simply indulges what he assumes is a passing fancy? Does Acacuis know his predicament is because of one brother indulging the other, and try to manipulate things in his favor and against his captor? Does it work?
HOUSE OF GUINNESS (TV) — Arthur Guinness

Things that happened before Arthur went away to London, and since, on two occasions, after he's returned. Ways Rafferty keeps him sated, until he doesn't. How his brothers take him in hand and bind him — until Arthur breaks free. Everything in between. Selfish surrender of the flesh to temptation is his territory! His job! His role in the business! Let him get to it.

Arthur goes through it throughout the series and I'd love to get moments where he catches a fucking break. I ship him with any and all men in his life, just let this poor fuck have a bit of a laugh for a while, please.

  • Edward, stuck waiting outside all the strange places Arthur gets his jollies. Keeping watch and seething knowing those are the times Arthur looks happiest. He's there out of concern and not curiosity, truly. And there isn't any reason why Arthur comes up in every other conversation he has, when he can be bothered to speak to someone who isn't Arthur in the first place.
  • Times and occasions Rafferty fucks Arthur when he asks, and those when Rafferty does so without request. Is it to save Arthur for himself? Is Rafferty not all that selfless? He certainly didn't seem pleased when Arthur announced the man who stopped him from slutting around.
  • Arthur, known at The Angel for being nice, unlike the other rich half-English. Arthur, barred from ever entering it again, and taking the loss with the good-spirit in which it was given. He deserves a reward to be sure.
  • Edward would do anything for his brother. He spends most of his life thinking Arthur himself raises moon. After he grows up and finds that his brother is chaos chained to him, Edward can't help but do help shoulder the damn thing.
  • Arthur ends things with his first serious boyfriend around the time that Ben's figuring himself out. He comes home from Eton, a man without a soul. Though he's younger, Ben knows the depths of sadness a man can find himself in far more intimately than his eldest brother, which is why he's best suited to help drag him out of it.
  • Arthur's time with Michael, who brought him peace.
  • Arty. Patrick. Rafferty. Michael. Pick any of the men Arthur can't seem to help attract himself to and give the man a happy semblance of a life.
  • Faking one's death is a great way to get out of their father's particularly intricate shackles. Does he run off to live an anonymous life, secretly bankrolled by Edward? Is visiting Arthur Edward's own slice of heaven, one he can't help but secret away to?
เขาจ้างให้ผมจีบนักฆ่า | THE HEART KILLERS (THAILAND TV) — Fadel, Style

Style is one of my top three all-time characters and Fadel isn't far behind. Style fell hard and fast; Fadel matched his freak. This canon gave me basically everything I could have wanted, and I don't want to be free of it!

Joong and Dunk were firing on all cylinders for this one. Style's shamelessness was a joy and Fadel's intimacy with him once he let him in is what the Greek's wrote poetry about.

  • Kant pulls one last job that gets him and Style tossed in jail. Inside, they meet Fadel and Bison, who are interested in keeping their heads down as they near the tail end of their sentences. How would their get-togethers happen? Would Fadel have to look out for Style? Would he make it obvious, or try to do it on the sly? Would Style be the one looking out for Fadel? I appreciate the lighthearted prison antics of the show, but if you want to make it darker then that's fine too.
  • After Fadel gets out of jail, he's glued to Style's side.
  • Style (and Kant?) lost his dad to the crime world and became a hitman instead. Fadel grew up with a loving family.
THE LONG WALK (MOVIE 2025) — Ray Garraty, Peter McVries

If doesn't inspire all the lonely, single boys to take up Olympic walking, nothing will. I desperately need these two to get their happy ending, even if it is more a curse than blessing!

If you offered this then I think we're on the same page. Below are some ideas I have to how to get to from point A to B, but I'll take whatever you give me.

  • Instead of having a single winner, The Long Walk is intentionally a paired-match event. How does the psychology change? Is it like a game show where both parties have to commit to win a shared prize? Is there an element of betrayal?
  • The annual event is more of a desert island, survivalist Truman Show. What does winning look like? Is there any way out?
  • Ray or Pete took part in the walk, but not both. They meet after. What would it have been like for them to compete and survive the walk without one another? Would they still have formed a tight bond with the other boys? Would it not have hit as hard? Does the non-walker heal the other? Does he learn to love a broken man? When the next year comes around, does the non-walker still put his name in?
  • In a more Atompunk version of canon, the winner makes a wish to have a friend they can call their own. They're given an android/synth/droid of the other.
  • The Long Walk allows for pacers or followers on, maybe as a way to stage-set for the upcoming "season" of the show or to provide some variety in the form of a greater cast after a period of boys dying off early in the walk. Pete or Ray joins in as a spectator. Why? Does it make it easier for the one competing to stay the course? Is it a trap?
เลือดนายลมหายใจฉัน | MY GOLDEN BLOOD (THAILAND TV 2024) — Mark Amarittrakul, Tong

Vampire canons are made for true yearners, but so few canons capitalize on it fully. MGB does not have that problem.

Tong is bioengineered to have each and every inch of him literally be the most addictive substance to Mark. This show is basically that for me.

  • Everything about Mark's obsession with Tong's fluids fascinates me. Please not scat, and if you want to include watersports I'd request that it's a part of a larger fluid-obsession than just a scene focusing on that, but I would love anything about Mark going out of his mind, being stimulated, etc. due to Tong's sweat, kisses, shared straws/cutlery, clothes, etc. Anything about how Tong's discarded or shared items brings his body back to life.
  • In the novel they don't go all the way until after Tong is turned, because Mark is too strong and penetrative sex would kill him, lol. I love that in the series they're switches, so anything dealing with Mark being a service top who bottoms and generally being receptive/passive with Tong due to their physical power differential.
  • Something taking the vampire aspect darker. Maybe Nakan warns Mark of how he lost his love, so when Tong is born Mark is hyper-paranoid not to make that mistake. Something like Nosferatu where Tong wishes for a friend during the loneliest moments of his childhood in the orphanage, and Mark's the one who takes him up on it? Mark's obsession for Tong's fluids taking a more dubcon turn?
  • Not for nothing, if you're into it: Mark and Nakan had an romantic, emotionally affair that was sexless due to the nature of vampires in this 'verse. Tong comes around and reintroduces that possibility into their lives? Does Tong feel like he's being used? Does he love Mark, but being with Nakan is the only way he can have him? Does Mark love them both and tries not to be guilty for feeling selfish? Is he only using Tong to fully have Nakan? Does he fall out of love with Nakan, but decades of being together prevents him from outright leaving just to be with Tong? Do they all find some form of happiness in it, or are they all vaguely miserable but something is better than nothing?
NOSFERATU (2024) — Friedrich Harding, Thomas Hutter, Orlok

Thomas and Friedrich were basically in their own films until Orlok dragged them into the horrors that poor Ellen is trapped in. I'd love to play around in the respective genres.

I wouldn't change the canon for anything, but that's what fic is for! ATJ's campy, old-Hollywood acting for Friedrich was amazing. Meanwhile, NH's trapped as a tragic hero holding on to hope that he's the main character with some agency. They both seem to think there's a way out, and I would love anything that plays with the respective genre's they're operating in before everything comes to a head.

  • Friedrich or Thomas is the one who makes an oath with Orlok in their youth.
  • When puberty came, Friedrich and Thomas realized their feelings for one another couldn't be acted upon. In their attempts to resist temptation, they left the door open for Orlok. Does it lead to a relationship between the three of them? Is it something they revel in indulging, or does it bring them shame? Does Orlok come to each of them, alone, without the other knowing Orlok is the way the other sates himself, and is therefore why they never actually become a thing?
  • Orlok knows that he'll die if he consummates a relationship, so he lives vicariously through Friedrich and Thomas. Are they aware of it? Is it consensual between them, but they don't realize what Orlok is doing? Does Orlok remove them of their inhibitions, resulting in dubcon-fueled regret? Does it happen once? Often?
  • After the film, with Thomas left all on his own, he turns towards something dark. He brings back Friedrich, guilty for having brought all this agony to his dearest friend's life. Friedrich comes back wrong.
  • After the film, Thomas does a spell to revive Orlok to get revenge, since dark magic can't touch mortal souls. He doesn't realize what he's getting himself into.
